Now I know it was only Wales u16 and it was only against Gibraltar but young Will started and scored yesterday so worth a mention as one for the near future .
Its got me thinking when did we last have an international scorer at any age level ? Im thinking probably Jamie Ward ?

For the likely next step as regards Will Russ see Exeter City and Ethan Ampadu.
We might be able to keep him till he's 17 .......... BUT it's a small pool in Wales. If he's good he'll make rapid progress internationally ...... if he also progresses to the the fringes of our first team and we somehow stay in the league, a big club will snatch him. Ethan Ampadu has already made a brief first team appearance at Chelsea.
Whether being at Chelsea helps Ethan's long-term prospects I have my doubts. And if I was Will Russ's dad I'd keep him at Chesterfield (if we get Jack Lester and he manages to save us.)
