For those of you who remember me whining and whinging like a granny at a rave when we sold Long, he now starts for Southampton and Liverpool are allegedly preparing a bid for him.  I do remember at the time that there was two definite camps yes he should go and no he should not with very few in the middle.
Just wondering what people think now?

He didn't want to sign a new contract with us so there's not really a great deal to debate about. We got some money instead of none if he left on a free...
Just for arguments sake say he had accepted a new contract, would I have still sold him?
Not a chance.
Might have a poor first touch most of the time but he's got bags of pace and creates so many chances out of nothing for others to finish.

I've always liked Shane, and I thought he'd really made it when he got that great goal for Ireland v England.
I'd honestly swop him for Rondon and Anichebe.
