What a result! Not just because its against our local rivals, but we really needed the points!
Hands up who was worried that we were not going to win at 1-0 down?
Hands up who uttered the words 'typical Town' after said 1-0???
Hands up who said 'what is Wagner playing at' for bringing off Paterson?
Couldn't have just been me could it?
I had the feeling that Nahki was going to the miss the pen and then when they scored seemingly against the run of play, I feared the worst! Great to get back into it before the break from a CORNER (wow, don't see many of those!) Then, an inspired 2nd half with great subs and its so easy!
I was pleased to see Wells score and also set up the goal for Matmour. I remember at some point recently where he could have squared it across goal, but went for glory and missed! That is team play, which is what I think Wagner is all about!
Honours even I suppose across both games, but I feel that we were the better side in both games, so the win was the least we deserved against them this season. On to the double next season!
