once Bunn learns to get his head up and not run in circles when he has the ball he'll be a right player

Scannell still needs to learn how to cross

Miller and Wells need to play closer together and their overall movement needs to be better

Huws needs to get his Mojo back when he first got into the team

Paterson needs more time on the field, would like to see more of Bojaj and other academy lads too

Cranie, the player most town fans i talked to said we should never have signed has been as solid a right back as we have had in years and consistently one of the better players on the team

Jed Steer is a good Keeper and we should extend his loan further

iPad fixed so should be around a little more now.

What can I say about last nights performance......
Shockingly bad
Woeful
I could go on but I'd have to start swearing.

Started off half decent and a cross from scannell was just a touch too high for Miller to get a decent header on, from that point onwards it went down faster than the titanic.
No tempo, no central midfield pushing on to help the forwards and no bleeding idea. I'd lost the will to live before half time and was just bored rigid.
2 awful teams with not much of a game plan, I know whitehead got MOTM but Lynch stood out for me with some vital blocks, interceptions and headers. As for the rest of them....pretty shocking.
Nowhere near as shocking as our crowd giving Powell hammer for taking Wells off instead of Miller. Wells is shockingly bad, I said last season that I'd take £1.3million now if we could sell him but I think we'd be lucky to get £500k right now. Doesn't win headers, terrible 1st touch, can't hold the ball up. He had a nightmare last night, I was going ape with crowd for booing his subbing...he was shocking but because he's scored all the loons seemed to forget all that.

Anyway we won and that's the main thing because last night was a relegation battle we had to win, I said before that 3points were vital as Derby will smash us on Saturday. So no moaning from me on Saturday when Derby win another 8 goal thriller 1-7

I'll take the three points however we get them but I agree with you Wakey, most of the vocal moaning barstewards don't know the difference between good players and bad one's when it's right in front of their (probably half-pissed) eyes. Wells took his goal well for once, passing it (if firmly) into the net rather than trying to blast it in with his eyes shut like he normally does. If he did that with more of his chances he'd get far more goals and then more starts.

We apparently didn't see too much of the ball last night but made the most of two defensive blunders by them. Otherwise they are just as shot shy as we are.
A guide to cask ale.

A very welcome 3 points, our midfield just sat too deep (thwarting their possession %) & failed to get up in support of the front 2 all night so chances were few n far between.

When Ish broke free and blasted high n wide on his right hoof the ground went ballistic wanted him off, then when Wells was hauled off they were chanting 'you dont know what youre doing' at CP around me in the moaning section, it sometimes riles me when the occasionals turn up and become the voiciferous few. I accept he's way off Champ class but numbers are thin and he's what we have at the moment. Nakhi had just scored and should have been given a chance to add another, but CP is paid the $ to make that call.

In fairness our defence was excellent, Huddy and Crainey stood out for me, Huws sitting (too) deep with Deano snapping away kept them at bay, Scanz doing a shift in reverse rather than offensively - but it worked they rarely worked through us. I thought they looked shakey at the back right from the start and under pressure they cracked.

It can only build confidence, i dont want to look to far down the fixture list as its dauting enough over the next 2-3 weeks never mind in the run to crimbo nor think about where the next points are coming from, each game as it comes.

I like the confidence Steer gives the back 4 too, think Lynch is due his usual injury and time off anytime now he's been hobbling around some time and it is half term.
