I think we should play Harrison and Armand upfront against Rochdale because I think they could have a good partnership especially in a 4-4-2.

Rochdale 19 shots Chesterfield 3.

Gnanduillet 45 minutes and replaced.

From a distance this looks like a drowning man clutching at straws.

The thing I've noticed about the last 5 or 6 games is how easily teams cut through us when they are attacking .Every time they go forward they look likely to score and it usually ends up with us scrambling it away or a near miss. Saunders repeatedly says about how we could have won if we had taken our chances he should be more concerned with how fortunate we were not to concede more .

Opposition are going through our defence like a knife through butter it's very worrying how no one closes down an opposition player on the ball and then we have to rely on Tommy. If it wasn't for Tommy we could probably lose by 5 or 6.

Isn't the problem that we haven't adequately replaced Ryan? Take out Morsy too and the defensive capability seems to be reduced even further.

Maybe Saunders should just pick his best eleven players and build a system around them ...... which would probably mean Evatt, Hird and Raglan all in the team at once. But then we do appear to be in that dreadful failing situation in which we need to have 12 players on the pitch. One up front is never quite enough, because the player operating the loan role isn't good enough. If we shift to two up front we are overrun in midfield, and once that happens our defence is fire-fighting instead of defending. And once your defence is reduced to fire-fighting the ball doesn't come forward in a controlled enough way for your attack to work properly ........... It's a vicious circle.

Nowhere on the pitch are we good enough to cope with another part of the team fighting a losing battle. And the reason is that the money we made selling players didn't come back into the team in sufficient quantities. We're left with promise but very little delivery and unless something changes tomorrow could be a very difficult game.
