Napalm Death are a legendary death metal band, although now disbanded after the death of Jesse Pintado from a brain tumour. The singer is a big Villa fan. Are Judas Priest really from Birmingham? Most of the members are from West Bromwich.

Not going tomorrow, really can't be arsed, not one of my favourite away days, as a city I find it has no redeeming features. The ground is a long walk from the centre, although Digbeth is interesting and the Bordesley Station makes it a little easier, its the natives who I can't do with always looking for trouble.

Despite Wigan winning and closing the gap I'm happy with a point today...any point away from home should be a good point.

However...I can't see us getting anything on Tuesday night at home to Norwich so next Saturday it's crucial that we pick up at least a point if not all 3 depending on how Wigan get on in the next 2 games...it could be squeaky bum time as fat head Bruce calls it

We were somewhat better today and even the Radio WUM reporter reckoned we were well worth a point if not more.

After a bright start Robbo went to sleep and let their first attack lead to Cotterrill slotting home from the edge of the 6yd box we rode their immediate pressure and got a hold of the game instead of collapsing.

Robbo's long throw bounced in the area and Trolly Dolly fired it home, seemed to enjoy scoring in front of the Bluenoses who seemed to have known he was a Villa fan so gave him what for. Pretty open game but we did ok and with more quality and composure throughout the 94 mins, we could and should have nicked a winner and bagged all 3 points.

Thought Vaughan still looks some way off firing on 3 cylinders even, could do so much more for me. Lynch and Huddy strong in the middle.

Coady was back on form driving, Butterfield superb as usual our man of the season, Hogg breaking it up well - his first shot of the season woeful and he should keep to passing it sideways and short.

Disappointing to see Bunn go off early musn't have recovered from his knock properly, Scanz had a great game running at his defenders and 2nd half tracking back to keep Cotterill under pressure.

Decent support unsure of numbers but guestimate 700, vocal and supportive, obviously a lot of moaners and given up'ers stayed away - that's their choice. Quiet home support and listening to Radio WM on the M42 Rowett was happy with the point gave us credit for doing the basics well. Good applause at the end, town came over to thank the travellers, froze my bollox off today mind.

Talking of Brum, do you all know about Ska'd's book Brummie Road. I've got it on kindle. It's very good, once you get past the local dialect. Definitely worth buying. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brummie-Road-Ian...1505605628
