HTAFC Prediction League 2026 Matchday 5

For anyone in Division 2 here is a helpful Snooty-style piece of information regarding Chesterfield's game .....

In 18 visits in the EFL to either Eastville, Twerton Park or The Memorial Stadium, the Spireites have never managed a win; every other team we’ve visited that many times has seen us win at least once. We did win away against them in the League Cup. That was only 61 years ago.

And, not being from these parts, why is Saturday KO a minute later than usual?

Theo touched on it earlier, ritchie.

Every match across the English Football League (EFL) this weekend, including those scheduled for 3:01 pm on Saturday 7 February 2026, is kicking off one minute later than usual to raise awareness for the Every Minute Matters campaign.

Why the 1-Minute Delay?
  • The symbolic 60-second delay is a partnership between the EFL, Sky Bet, and the British Heart Foundation (BHF) designed to highlight the critical importance of speed when performing life-saving CPR.

  • The Message: For every minute a person in cardiac arrest goes without CPR and defibrillation, their chance of survival decreases by 10%.

  • The Goal: Coinciding with Heart Month in February, the campaign aims to encourage 500,000 people to learn CPR using the BHF’s free online tool, RevivR.

  • Ambassador: The initiative is championed by Tom Lockyer, the former Luton Town captain who suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch in 2023.

Transfer window supposedly closed at 7pm Monday 2nd Feb. It was later north of Hadrian's Wall.

Quite. That's when it started in the Prima Donna League and many others went on way past the witching hour. In some cases way passed the witching day. Whats the point of the deadline when it seems to be routinely ignored or bypassed?

Have to laugh though. L666s offered to buy Kalvin Phillips back from Man City and they said no, then they loaned him to The Blunts. If that's not a middle finger or maybe the two next to it, I don't know what is.
