Thread to talk about football and wednesday in general
If player welfare was the only concern they would play every World Cup in the British summer Laugh

But maybe then they would need hot soup breaks Wink

If The Star is to believed Best and Final offer bids are due in to Begbies tomorrow with possible downselect to a preferred bidder by the weekend. Personally hoping it’s an unknown rather than one of the ones already claimed in the press.
However with the ‘leak’ of names I wonder if it’s an effort by BT and/or the bidders to gauge fan reaction/response?

Anyone else thinking that it's all gone a bit quiet and we're going to end up with a cut price offer from Mike Ashley Doh who will then bail out to anyone with a decent bid just like MM did Doh Going in circles again Cool

Nah, hopefully just going through the motions as as it's all NDA stuff..

I doubt we'll get anyone or thing close to Reynolds at Wrexham, though..

Liverpool and Manure circling the last of our Academy talent. Supposedly bidding 450k for Yisa Alao.

Peanuts for your gemstones. Like Man City lowballing us with that 1m bid when they knew we were struggling.

These billionaire clubs are cancerous.

Seems to be quite a lot of meltdown going on about bids/no bids and the 0 point deduction or - 15 depending on the final sales price.

Because KW is one of the Adminisrators there appears to be some element of failure if he doesn’t deliver a mega billionaire with deep pockets.

In reality this is a business process and the BT remit is to obtain the best result for the creditors from someone who will pass the EFF/IR test. At the end of the day the club is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and at the moment when faced with a definitive bid after more digging rather than and indicative one as previously posted it appears no-one wants to pay 30+ M.
So, it may come down to the best ‘worst’ bid. Who that will be still remains to be seen but there’s sweet fa we can do about it.

They tried to window dress it for us.

It will very likely come down to the 'best worst bid'
Taking into consideration the debt, the absolute derelict condition of Hillsborough and it's threadbare squad and 1990's training facilities.
As an owner, you're taking on long term fixer-upper, even if the intention is to flip the club, it still needs a vast quantity of initial investment.

Wrexham won the lottery with Reynolds & Mcaleny whatever. Odds on that happening for us are probably the same as us staying up this season.

It really is looking like the savvy (but risky)way to approach the takeover would be to phuk Chansiri off, take the 15 point deduction and invest in the squad.
It won't achieve promotion in its first season but it won't be relegated to Division 4 either.

Pederson says EFL won't allow any further signings loan.or temporary.

By the way, Ricky Parry, former Executive at Liverpool FC is head of the EFL. Make of that what you will... it certainly explains a lot of corruption for me!
