Players for Pounds 2025-2026

Here we go again, for all those that are interested, for another fun-filled fest of money raising for some of our favourite charidees.

Town have done a major rebuild over the summer in both the managerial/coaching department and the playing department, not least in defence. At the moment we seem to be keeping the faith with the lads up front who did so little to score for us after their expensive January transfers last season. Well we needed a few at the back with a turning circle that was tighter than the Queen Elizabeth and an ability to sprint a bit faster than the pub drunk to the bar for last orders. We just need midfielders to set things up on a plate for the forwards to miss and we'll be well fettled.

There may be more players to come. Watch another space on our boards. Like somewhere around here. https://www.sportsbabble.co.uk/showthrea...769&page=6

Despite last season's abysmal attempt at getting promoted at the first attempt, we still raised a nice £191 so it would be good to beat the £200 barrier again this season. Our friends at YAA were very appreciative of our efforts.

I'll take a straw poll from you all on whether we're still supporting the correct charidees please.

Kindly send in your punditry predictions. I've started mine, though I may add a player or two with two left feet before we kick off on the 2nd of August.

Despite drawing the groups for the EFL Tin Pot Vertu Trophy, the EFL are still keeping it secret as to when these games are actually going to take place other than w/c Sept 1. Apparently we've got the Newcy Broon U21's, Harrogate and Mansfield to start with.

I'm going to be away for Josh Koroma scoring a hat-trick in the first match, but maybe we'll improve as the season goes on.

£1 every League game that Rhys Healey starts.
£1 every goal from Ben Wiles, Herbie Kane, David Kasumu. All comps.
£1 for every penalty scored or saved by us. All comps.

Rethink on the FA Cup - £2 for getting through to round 2, £3 to round 3, and so on.

Same for Carabooboo.
