Wycombe Wanderers at home

The goal was a farce. Kone was offside but Ruffels had to attempt to play it just in case he wasn't. In proper football, the liner would've flagged it.

Anyway he stretches for the ball, messes up and now Kone is onside. Passes the ball to Udoh who shoots through Pearson's legs. Not a hard shot. A fair distance off. Not well placed. Too near Nicholls who makes no attempt to stop it.

Farcical.

As somebody used to say.....

My mother cudda caught that in her pinny.

Yes that was my thoughts, had he left the ball the liner would’ve probably given offside but he didn’t and she didn’t flag and they scored.

We looked at the stats at half time

possession
61% HTAFC 39% WW
Shots
2 HTAFC 9 WW
On Target
0 HTAFC 1 WW

Second half was better
69% to 31%
7 shots to 2
But the Wycombe keeper made only one save during the whole game.

Glennon post match on the radio saying fans were being harsh last night because we played a lot better is like saying I started entering the high jump at 10cm and because I’m now jumping 15cm you should all be pleased.

21 points from the last 19 games…that’s 1 more than Cambridge who are 23rd in the League, devoid of ideas on how to break teams down, devoid of a goalscorer. No manager in place, no direction of play, no idea at all.

Nagle’s dream was the Premier League in 3 years… at this rate he’s going to be closer to the Northern Premier League

I don't think we'll sink that far (yet), but we'll certainly be in a relegation battle next season if Carthoss stays.
