Another away match and this time on the dreaded artificial pitch again! My default position re this particular game is we don't have any goal scoring strikers any more and the Lions do have strikers who know how to do it. On a separate note, I'm amazed their goalie, Strijek, hasn't been retrospectively suspended after getting away with a clear assault on a Dons' player!! What happened to the SFA scrutiny panel in this case???? I'm sure SDG and Eddie May will try to keep things "tight as a drum" in a team that is effectively goal-shy. Livy have the incentive to jump 3 pts ahead of Hibs at the top of the "bottom six". I can see them doing just that unless SDG and EM find a line up with players who they can motivate and convince that they can still "raise their game" and overcome this challenge. C'mon Hibs!

Whoever takes on the Hibs gig is facing one hell of a job.

Can you imagine Roy Keane in our dressing room with these players ? Would be a bloodbath Laugh

Hibs stats read 18 shots on the Livy goal, none on target!! Easily predicted with no striker having scored a goal in months and most of them are either injured or not match fit. It transpires that Livy will not be relegated and neither will Hibs based on today's other Scot Prem results. As previously intimated, the sooner this season ends, the better for everyone - so depressing watching results like this one becoming so predictable when we have a team that is devoid of natural goal scorers with other players who show great difficulty in taking any scoring opp whatsoever. I reckon Hibs season ticket sales will be at a record low in the close season if Hibs and Ron Gordon continue "in this vein".

This is an honest enough assessment by David Gray, but I think he must concede to the fact we don't have players who are adept and confident enough to score goals regularly. The best example of this type of failure is Joe Newell, a vg mid player on his day, but I wouldn't bet on him scoring a goal for Hibs unless he was standing on the opposition goal line for a tap in - highly unlikely because he has no striker's intuition to get into that kinda attacking position. There was also a good example of this failure in the tv highlights when I watched James Scott's embarrassing effort to head a great cross ball from Doig - totally missed the ball instead of guiding it towards Livy's near post and a good chance of scoring. He bowed his head in total disappointment!! IMO a hard-working front man, but he doesn't have the skill or guile to convert such a good set up and score a goal.
