Three Premier League players failed a drugs test during the 2019-20 season but escaped punishment as they were granted a therapeutic use exemption, which allows an athlete to take a prescribed substance for medical reasons. (The Athletic)

They obviously (yes I know it says Premiership) didn`t play for West Brom or one of the other scapegoat teams or it would have been headline news.....

PED use in top level sport is highly prevalent. Unfortunately they don't want to catch and ban top stars because of the risk of losing revenue.

Imagine if Ronaldo got caught and banned for testosterone for example, sponsorship income of major tournaments would take a huge hit.

So they would rather catch someone playing for Morecombe to 'box tick'.

It wouldn't surprise me if everyone was at it. Firstly, it's very simple to pass a test for PEDs and secondly, it's actually 'legal' if the anabolics are prescribed by a doctor. BBC did a documentary on Mo Farrah's coach Alberto Salazar a few years ago and some of his athletes as young as 16 were being prescribed testosterone. Well, no 16 year old athlete has low testosterone.

People turn a blind eye to it in football saying there is no benefit. Well actually, there's more money in football than anything else. Where there is more money, there is more cheating.

When you consider all of the clubs have their own doctor, they can pretty much write their own rule book.

Obviously those players haven't been named but you only need to look at Adama Troare to see he's using testosterone. Football is a catabolic sport, so you don't get to that size naturally I'm afraid. Bayern are the worst for it, most of their squad suddenly join Bayern and get massive due to 'their diet'. Look at Leon Goretzka, somehow in lockdown he turned into a beast. Strange that, he can suddenly 'optimise his diet' when they are halting any drugs testing and the like.

As someone who knows quite a lot about PEDs I've been saying for ages that all the footballers are at it. No shock that this story has come out to me, but it will probably be glossed over by mainstream media as it's not really in their narrative to report something like this.
