Hibs v Elgin City, Sat 19 January, KO 3.00pm

Football returns to ER after the "wee winter break" and I wonder if Neil is tempted to give a few youngsters a "run out" v this level of opposition without weakening the team too much. No complacency required and hopefully no "shock result" as I think we have a decent chance of winning the Holy Grail again!

A good chance to bleed a couple of our youngsters into first team football as long as the focus remains on getting to the next round. A thoroughly professional performance is required anything less could see us struggle.

A good 4-0 win for Hibs and this game provided a decent run out for the players with Daryl Horgan the "pick of the bunch" and Gauld putting in a decent shift. Just a pity Kamberi missed that pk in the 1st half because he needed to recover his mojo after missing the previous one! I'd suggest that you "roof it" doon the middle Flo and don't mess about for the next one. Having taken many a successful pen in days gone by, that is the quick solution - on target and skelp the baw thus making it a "blur" for any goalie! The only other disappointment was that unwelcome injury to Bogdan - NOT AGAIN!!!

Job done.

Whittaker had a very good game and Horgan seemed a lot happier out wide.

Under no circumstances should Kamberi be allowed to take any more penalties.

What I don't understand re Kamberi's pk technique is why he changed it to a predictable low strike to the goalie's right and yet he was previously successful and focused with a high rising strike to the goalie's right top corner - very difficult to save!

Exactly what I think, 0762. Top right or top left would be virtually unsaveable. Accuracy allied with power is the answer. Practice, practice, practice. Perhaps he doesn't believe in that ethic, but the coaching staff should be drumming that ethic into him. It wasn't important yesterday, but it will be some day.
