Thing is though it just inflates the wage bills of the likes of Accrington and even us to a certain extent. Yes Salford might be able to afford it but where does that leave the rest of us? We all have to pay more for mediocre players with agents out for their own gain in order to try and compete. I agree Blue (god help) the days of the underdogs making the grade are long gone and I miss them - mind you Burnley are having a good go at it.

What about Macclesfield last season? Just because you have money doesn't guarantee success in football but I guess it helps.

Yes but did it do them any good? On the verge of bankruptcy but won promotion. How long will they last this coming season?
