Anti Establishment party win the biggest share.Another blow for the EU .
Its time we had a similar party in this country so the politically homeless like myself have a reason to vote .
Having said that I might boycott anyway as I am against the grossly unfair FPTP system we use .

Italy is a strange country politically. The industrial north hate the soft south (sounds familiar) who according to Northern Italians live off tourism for 4 months in the year, claiming benefits for the rest, which Northern industry funds.
The Northern League and its allies will never get enough votes to win an election so it looks as though they have jumped into bed with the man who has had so many facelifts his hairline now starts halfway down the back of his neck.
With Berlusconi hailing from the south seemingly able to jump in a shower and wash all the scandals away at will, Italian politics will forever be buried knee deep in dirty money and mafia influence. If it was any other country he would have been shamed into oblivion but there are other forces in Italy working to keep somebody corrupt at the top, somebody with a very big shower.
I worked for an Italian company for 10 years and there really is animosity and open hostility between the North and South. It must be something in the San Pellegrino, Italy, Spain, Us, all have North South divide issues.

Italy is the third biggest economy in the EU.
Immigration is a huge issue. Because Italy is where it is, it is the destination of choice from Libya. Because Italy has a functioning navy, it picks up sinking migrant boats all over the Med' and brings them back to Italian ports. The EU insists the migrants, who largely don't want to end up in Italy, register there. The migrants then head across open borders into other European countries and under EU rules, when they are picked up in perhaps France, they are returned, not to Libya, but to their point of first entry - Italy. With problems of mounting debt and youth unemployment Italy doesn't need more problems.
The EU isn't much help, they want Italy to pay for and police their migrant issue, and when if/we leave the EU they'll want Italy to pay even more to make up the deficit we become! Love Italy, like Italians, short, dark southerners, and those fashionable and superior northerners in their designer suits ........... even like their football ............ but the EU could well push them towards Fascism.

Can't see Italy leaving the EU but I think they will have a referendum on the Euro.

I've withdrawn my subscriptions because I didn't agree with their general stance on Brexit amongst other things .
I just don't think Labour represents the ordinary working man like it used to ,hence the need for a new party which is more in line with my beliefs.

I was thinking about re-joining after 25 years absence ........ despite the idiot EU policy with which I'm sure neither Mr Corbyn or Mr McDonnell can really agree. (It's Mr McDonnell's Greek friend I blame, Mr Varifakis ......... but I like him too and I can't see why he is nont totally opposed to the EU after what happened to Greece.)
I'm trying to get myself used to the idea that Brexit will never happen, in the same way I'm now reconciled to the Vanarama.
