Not gonna go on about it again regarding our refs nothing between the two teams one mistake and it was game one. But one question I would like to ask you guys ....

How did stevie may not get sent off ?

Aberdeen subbed him right after the tackle to me that says it all

It was a total shocker bounce. The ref was totally at it in the 2nd half and let the aberdeen players away with murder.

A touch of deja vu for most hibees but will we ever get accustomed to numpties like this ref who wouldn't know what common sense actually means when it comes down to incidents like that diabolical May tackle and lotsa other dodgy 'calls' when a referee is supposed to be officiating to protect players as part of his duties. John McGinn could certainly have done with that protection when the Aberdeen players suddenly realised that he was a threat and acted upon it by fouling him!

I watched some of the recorded tv highlights of this match on bbc Sportscene and must say the referee, Dom Robertson, played a huge part in handing this result to Rangers 'on a plate'. Anderson very 'hard done by' to be dismissed and indeed IMO Rangers CB, Alves, could well have been red-carded for manhandling and pushing Anderson (I call that retaliation and a red-card offence!) in the first yellow card incident in which the Saint Johnstone captain did SFA and should not have been given a first yellow card anyway!! I recall this same referee giving the most bizarre pk for Schalke (dived about 2 ft from a Lustig tackle!?) and Ross Co last season v Celtic - handed the Staggies an equaliser but Schalke subsequently suspended for two matches! Is Robertson a 'Rangers man'???

The sending off was a joke,at a stage in the game where st johnstone were pressuring the visitors. The hun defence is a walk through down the flanks and a team with a better final ball would have beat them.

The only thing missing above the referees office at hampden is a lodge number.

Briefly looking at Anderson's disciplinary record alone Jim - never sent off in years and no surprise as the Saints' captain has no 'black history' attached to him whatsoever. I could also raise the 'match fixing' issue again re the outcome of this match with reasonable justification - highly suspicious IMO and good reason 'point an accusing finger' in that regard.
