Are we going to see Chadli and Mozza in the same team, or will it be like England's situation when Gerrard and (..whoever - can't remember!
) were deemed to be incompatible in the same midfield? ?

Surely the 'midfield 5' should be: Yacob Morrison Phillips Chadli Brunt based on performances? Mozza is the only approximation to a 'box to box' midfielder we have plus he has a tendency to pass to a member of the same team

If we get Chadli back for Burnley and play in the same vogue then I can see another 3 points coming our way. As much as we haven't really been that poor results wise at under TP other than the run after we were safe at the tail end of last season, I'd still vote to bring another manager in. As someone who goes regularly (just the away games this season for me though) I can't endorse his brand of football and seldom do we create an entertaining game like last night that are worth every penny of the entrance fee. What a game though last night! Have to give the lads credit where it's due. Excellent performance against the champions and also whilst the pressure was squarely on us to perform. Definitely need to keep our feet on the ground and see where we are after Burnley and Hull. Win those two and we will be flying! Boing boing!

The big question is, has TP have finally realised that we needed more attacking creativity in midfield as was proved by playing Mozza and Brunty. If he goes back to playing a more defensive set-up against teams we should be beating then I'm afraid it will be a case of a leopard not changing his spots and 'taxi time' for Pulis.

Weve been on about this for the last 2 years. whenever we have a good game, we ask if TP has seen the light and will change his thinking.
but constantly we see he hasnt. I dont think he ever will!

I think we have to wait to see if the new owners are willing to spend more for quality players like chadli. Then we would truly see if TP will play more attractive football. To be fair he is known for playing to a squads strengths and we all know we have an ageing squad that struggles with pace. Mozza and Brunt have been injured so he couldn't play them. A lot of people here weren't exactly singing brunts praises not long back and some said mozza was neat and tidy but zzzzzz if I remember right. However they have come in and played recently and almost look like new signings. At the end of th day leicester are last years champions they have a good manager and squad and i think tactically TP was sound against them on sunday and with the creativity we had in midfield I thought we played really well.
Further to this TP has said openly he needs more chadli's and its up to the owners to get them in. But there are a lot of factors that come into place before you can get these type of players not just how much money you splash. TP had pace at Palace and they did well under him for that season he played more attacking football with pace and used his wingers to their advantage. All that said he will always be a work hard and build a solid defence first all the pundits will tell us that but if we get that better quality in then lets see what happens??? One final point I'l make is the result against liverpool after seeing what they did to Watford doesn't seem so bad after all and man city aside nobody has demolished us like that. I remember the early days of being back in the prem and the results like that fulham 6-0 arsenal 5-2 chelsea man u and c even birmingham ffs sticking 4 5 6 goals past us. Personally that used to make me very very upset and that's what happens if you're naive and new to this league and goal difference can be the difference between staying up and going down. over to you Mr Lai? |
