I used to work for a mail order company, "Freemans". We once visited a large offset printers, in Liecester, that printed part of our catalogue. Can't quite remember the name. Though I do remember it was doing a large print run for another more, "Artistic" Magazine, at the time. Wonder if it's the same place Denners?

JASOG.....that will be us. Used to be 1 million copies of free mans / grattans. It was the first ever contract Artisan had. Relationship between the two firms dates back to 1964. They've ripped that building down now in Bradford. Such a shame.

And yes Snoots, used to do all those sorts of mags! Approx 500,000 Mayfair a month! Now it's printed in Poland and only 20,000.

Funny how that all works; I remember reading a whole thing in the New Scientist around the turn of the century detailing how most technological advances are either driven by weaponry or sex (the focus being there, more recently, pornography); and the development and progression of the internet has been driven - in a large part - due to the increased demand for means for people to, effectively, get themselves off and, later, do so without feeling they were being spied on (by people they didn't want to be spied on by). Again, its off topic, but its worth bearing in mind. Pornography is ultimately eating its own head, so to speak.
