I watched the bbc highlights of the other semi-final between the ugly sisters and what a gaffe on Gers second goal by that moron of a ref, Thomson!!    He must have mistaken the green n white jerseys of Celtic for the green n white of Hibs lol!  The ball has clearly bounced off Tavernier's knee with a deviation in it's movement and rolled out of play. The AR has seen it's a throw to Celtic. The pair of ref officials have a radio link to talk to each other and Thomson gaffes again with the shy finally taken by Rangers and Mackay's very good goal should never have happened!! That's another 'black moment' for the Wikipedia compilers to definitely add to Thomson's profile lol!!  No sympathy for Celtic but what a f###### gaffe and one of the pivotal moments of this match!! Talk aboot influencing a result - bad refs prevail ya bassss (esp in Scotland)!! Who said match-fixing disnae exist ha ha ha!!

A wrongly awarded throw-in is not a "colossal gaffe" - it's a simple mistake. Rangers scoring a wonderful goal following the throw-in is not something that could possibly have been predicted.

No idea why he felt the need to overrule the linesman on that when he had a better view. Still mckay had a lot to do to score from where he was!

Thomson's name is synonymous with these kinda crap decisions that play a part in changing the course of a match, even in some of his past Euro matches! I repeat BAD REFS PREVAIL YA BASS!!! Ha ha ha It ties in well with the poor standard of footie up here although it was an entertaining match all the same! What a shocker!
