Deek given a trial with York City!

So all the training exertions at ER and EMTC may have finally paid off for Deek. Reported on SSN, it's a bit of a climb down from better times when he was close to being a regular in the Scotland squad but these days have truly gone now!

A daft laddie who kept making the same mistakes over and over again.

Shame, cos he had bags of ability.

One aspect of the Hibs team that I sorely miss at the moment is the presence of a good old fashioned winger in a similar mould to Riordan. IMO a dying breed and we've never seen a good winger, with bags of ability, at ER for a long time!

No like Riordan to be involved in a trial eh?

Hopefully you'll see Sam Nicholson there next season 0762 lol.

Yep! He 'fits the bill' up to a point Fredster but it's consistency that fails many players who aspire to being good to great wingers. Celtic's winger, Forrest, is another player who I like very much but I believe injuries interfered with his development down the years - he wasn't a strong player who could recover from injuries fairly quickly.

Aye very true wingers are either brilliant or not lol.

Forrest is a step down from maloney or mcgeady to my eyes 0762

At his uninjured best, during his 'early years' hibeejim, I thought he was almost unplayable in certain matches but injuries definitely caught up with him 'big time'. It appears to me that Celtic struggle to just keep him fit - seems to be injury-prone!

He's just not a clever enough player mate,he's all pace and that is going now with injuries. He's like pawlett at aberdeen.
