Good first half performance, good tempo, high-ish defensive line, great attacking from both wing-backs, good closing down by Murdoch especially. Kinda spoiled a wee bit with the first goal as second half we slunk back onto the old back foot, defending deep, staznding off them and hitting rarely on the break.

Good job we got thgast second goal, although Hibs never really looked that dangerous.

Delighted with the win and the confidence it will engender.

Delighted also to see Fred's utter hatred of Rangers drive him to become a Hibs fan of all things, even if his new-found ardour seemed to fade rapidly once his new team took a swift humping. But then, that's the strange things that irrational hatred does to his feeble mind.

Shouldn't be much of a surprise, Trus. Whatever Fred claims his forum history suggests his true colours have long been green and white.

I didn't get to see any of the match today but I'm very happy with the result. It offers slightly more hope of being able to come through a playoff, and the confidence we can take from the win is badly needed.

We were the better team first half and there wasn't a lot in it in the 2nd half, although our midfield did retreat a bit to protect lead.

If we play every game between now and the end of the season with the desire I think we'll go up.

I'll congratulate any decent Hearts fan as soon as one turns up here.

Aye, that desire combined with sensible tactics that benefit the team we have, can see us doing well in the coming weeks. It's a result and performance that will put doubt in the minds of all our competitors, and will shake them from their 'it's easy to play Rangers' slumber.

Fair enough, the 3-5-2 worked on Sunday, but it won't work as well as that every time or against every team. We're still vulnerable over the top, especially with wing-backs pushed forward, and the idea of Mohsni or McCulloch chasing back to cover in behind Wallace or McGregor, well, doesn't bear thinking about.

What the win will do is feed us with confidence. Much needed confidence. And if training and team selection processes have improved markedly, as is being hinted at by various media reports, then things could be on the turn for us. We're a different animal now. Maybe.
