Wandering Wycombe v Huffing and Puffing Town - Take 2

So we cleared out the "dead wood" and replced them with other team's "dead wood" by the look of things. The one player we all wanted, Alfie May, has turned out to be another failure. How many strikers do we sign with a proven scoring record that turn out to be rubbish?

The failure is the management and the tactics. All second half it was long ball to someone who is almost a certified midget. Once again we try building from the back without defenders who are comfortable with doing that, we use a playmaker or wannabe one at that who hides all game and basically plays out wide where he's incapable of doing so.

That's on the management. They came in with a style of play they were set upon playing and were heavily backed up on the transfer front, only to sign everything we didn't really need

We buy players with proven scoring records and have them chasing long balls into the corners Snoots when there should be a winger putting crosses into the box so our goalscorers can score. If we only had wingers eh? Buy me some boots and I'll walk down the wing and do it for nowt and live off me pensions ..... We've been playing this same shite way for at least the last 10 games and we still can't work out why it doesn't work. Every team has worked out how to stop us making it work. Um, plan B, C or D might be an idea. Don't suppose Colin's available for some light work again is he? Seems like we've broken all the kids on loan again and it's not Plot night yet.

Happy clock changing in the morning. I'm sure it's only 3 months since we last did it. Must be getting old. Big Grin

I’ve said else where that I’m all for giving a manager time to implement his style on the players but the thing is as time goes on you are supposed to improve.Grant has had a full pre season, 13 League games, 3 EFL cup games and 2 Tin pot trophy games to put his style of play in place. Are we improving?…no. Are we getting worse every week?….yes.

The Wycombe commentators got it spot on when they said they had a talented squad but just needed someone in charge to simplify things and that spoke volumes to me. We play a formation that doesn’t suit the players, for instance..where is Harness supposed to play? What’s his best position ? I haven’t got a clue. he then squeezes certain players in The team but plays them out of position, May, Roosken even Gooch today. The man is clueless.

Why when we play against 10 men do we look crap and why when we have 10 men do we look crap. We can’t break the opposition down when we have the extra man and we can’t defend our goal even though we are playing a 4-4-0.5.

It’s just rubbish, get him gone
