Looking at the T20 and ODI squads, it makes you wonder if the Ashes were warm ups for the tour in Sri Lanka and the T20 World Cup.

So 4-1 it was, the four year plan to win the Ashes by avoiding playing any meaningful cricket before and during the series worked out well

Not got long to prepare for the Ashes next year in England. Also England have to go back out to Melbourne in March 2027 to play a 150th anniversary test match to commemorate the first ever Ashes test match in Melbourne in 1877.
