It's sad that here and DATM show both extremes and not a happy medium. Hoyles not immune from criticism but neither does he deserve some of the recent ire directed towards him. Basically done the summer clearout 6 months early and people still wana have a moan. We can't buy in 9 top class players to replace them. Reality check.

we don't want 9 top class players, I don't recall anyone asking for 9.
He's shipped out some of the dross, some of it youth...some of it he or his board sanctioned. They signed the dross not us.

The club are also far too touchy when it comes to negative comments, from Dean having a pop at support being negative post Bournemouth to the guy who does the Twitter feed blocking supporters

Fair point but you've got to concede Wakey, our fans sometimes more than others just do love a moan when they get the chance.

Not wrong there ELT, you're having a good moan about the moaning bar stewards. Not just Town fans tho'. Go on any forum or listen to 5 Live after 6:00 pm on your way back from a match. Half the country wouldn't be happy if they had nowt to moan about.

I enjoy 606 on the podcast - my favourite this week was the Arsenal fan whose only point is that players go down too easily, and then quoted (coincidence, I'm sure) only Spurs players as his evidence.

I have enough mates who are arsenal fans and they drive me nuts. Biggest flip-flop fans in the premier league, some are incredibly over the top with how good their team is and how much better they are than spurs and they can't even go to games because their club has just made the emirates a middle-class hub of arsenal fans now.

Social media has given fans unprecedented access to communication with Football Clubs very quickly and i dont think most clubs are fully prepared for it.
no club is beyond criticism but some of the things i have seen on twitter isnt criticism its abuse i have no problem in the club blocking them from twitter, blocking other fans though seems out of order.
Social media also seems to have taken away a great amount of patience, the nature of the game has changed and changed dramatically the blame for this falls squarely at the door of the premier league and the ridiculous TV deals, lets not forge this is only towns 3rd season back in the championship and almost half the other teams are still receiving parachute payments giving them at least a 10 million leg up on everyone else. some fans had unrealistic expectations of how town were going to perform part of that is the clubs fault for talking the team up so much but a large part of it is the fans just not understanding whats happening in the game right now
the team is going to be a mid table club for a long time, but i think we are moving in the right direction albeit slowly , but thats ok with me , Rome wasnt built in a day, but it was destroyed in a pretty busy afternoon. there are some teams who are throwing everything but the kitchen sink to get to the premier league and some silly money is being spent on slightly above average players, pretty soon the whole thing will implode and some decent sized clubs will find themselves in dire straights , we've already seen it with the likes of Coventry and Portsmouth and to some extent leeds and Bradford.

everyone both Club and fans need to think a little more before they speak

I agree with a lot of what you say, MNT (as so often) but its worth noting that just as clubs don't quite know how to deal with social media, neither do fans. Having that immediate access is still a new thing and, while the abuse is clearly wrong, there's nothing intrinsically wrong with speaking one's mind - except that on a public forum, it becomes more than if it was just shouted off the terraces.
