The run-in starts here, as April dawns this weekend with the visit of Millwall to the Hawthorns. Currently occupying the last playoff spot, five points ahead of Albion, the Lions are quite simply the side we have to beat if we're to keep the top six in our sights as a realistic goal this year. We're unbeaten against them at home in four matches going back to October 2001, but Millwall are also looking to complete a double over us for the first time since that season; with seven wins from their last thirteen on the road, only Middlesbrough have better away form, though Albion's home record since November is comfortably the strongest in the league.

The international break has done both sides favours in bringing players back to fitness. Alex Palmer is reported to be match-ready for Albion again, though Josh Griffiths may well be preferred in goal on merit; Kyle Bartley is also in the running to return, though Karlan Grant remains sidelined. Another painstaking 1-0 win would do the trick this week; anything less would, unfortunately, be a nail in the coffin of this season.

International break not been all good as Dara now out for the season and Molumby set to miss the whole of April (8 games). To players who have been performing well and holding down important partnerships. Will they affect our home form.
Need some good fortune and some favours from other results.

If we can sort out our result, The blades can do is a favour by doing Norwich and Stoke can do Coventry. We would be seventh, two points behind the lions with a game in hand. Play offs still a long shot, need a lot of good fortune and other clubs, not used to promotion pushes, to crumble under the pressure. A defeat would mean a trip to Dunelms because it would be curtains for promotion.

I fear a 0 - 0 draw may have finished our chances of the playoffs, we are still ninth, still five points off of the last spot. We are chasing Blackburn and Millwall both on 61 points, although we still have a game in hand over Millwall. We have poor away form and more away games than home.
But hope springs eternal.

Our game in hand is away to Sheffield, tough fixture. Saving grace Millwall up against Luton next and finish up against Blackburn.
We are making it tough for ourselves but we are still in there.

Blackburn have a tough run in, Norwich, Burnley, Coventry, Preston, Luton and finishing with Millwall.
They also have a game against in form Huddersfield. Their remaining fixture is Hull. They look like our best chance of overhauling anyone, it's a case of who can hold their nerves longest.

Though top teams are shaking. Burnley draw, Midd'bro lose, so who knows.
