I think Darlow needs to go to the Priory for a confidence re-boot.
Must admit I didn't hear the noises live, only a brief re-run. I can't stand all the idiots telling me what I'm going to see before I see it, especially as it is usually wrong and only designed to keep viewers on station for the kick-off.
When you go to a match for real you don't get some baldy turnip like Shearer pontificating on a future based on his own successful career now do you, so why do you need him in your lounge?
Late thought, why would a few thousand loan fee have any effect on Newcastle? They are owned by an entire limitlessly rich little country. They could buy Hull and have it re-positioned in the North Sea.

I thought they did that with Newcastle but put it in the Persian Gulf.
How else can so may folk wander around the stadium or in the city with no shirts or barely a dress on at this time of year? Have they no shame?
Oh, and it's not the wages he gets at Newcastle, or the fee they get, it's the wages he's prepared to accept at Town. If he wants full whack, then who pays what? If town are prepared to pay say £8K, will he accept that if the Broons say he's yoos problem not ours? Several "loanees" have advertised they've taken a "pay cut" in the past to get a match, whether on loan or a transfer.

I get where you are coming from Devon, but if I'd a spare £5-£10K a week to spend right now, I'd say, we're mid-table as far as defence is concerned (when we were plain last at one point) but we're 3rd bottom in goals scored. Goals not scored against might =1 point. Goals scored for have more chance of =3 points.
Think my simple brain says bring in a lower (or even higher) league goal scorer rather than a higher league bloke with splinters in his arse as keeper. He's 3rd choice for a reason and it isn't because he doesn't drop the odd bollock in goals now and again. He does, regularly, otherwise he'd be first choice. Give a kid a chance to drop a bollock and learn or give a 3rd choice over the hill guy a chance to drop a bollock and earn when he's already earning good coin to do bugger all?

Having seen £180K a week Ederson in the first half of the Blue Mancs v Spurs tonight, I'll stick with a striker.
Yes they turned it round and won 4-2 but their fans booed them off at half-time (0-2) and some piss poor attempts to play out from the back.
Starting with one of "the best keepers in the country" right now.
That or I'm looking for corks and nails of a certain size to drive into the steel plated soles of me safety trainers. I'll cancel me paper round, guv.
