Is he a bit like Ritchie Humphreys? Remember when Cook signed him and everyone thought it was an odd signing but it worked.

Also Asante has been taken off the transfer list which is good news. Quigley has had a good pre-season and scored quite a few goals which will give him a confidence boost hopefully.

From what I have seen Asante looks really sharp, back to his best and Quigley is a different player, one we never saw last season. Both look leaner and fitter. Saw Jones come on as sub and he did ok. Think he will be the older head brought on to see games out when needed.
Really looking forward to this season.

Are you Curtis Weston in disguise seems the song to sing.

Asante staying was what both Dancing and I wanted ..... so long as he was back to sharpness.

I'm going to take some convincing about Quigley though .....

As for Jones being a Ritchie Humphreys ......... well he's never had anything like the level of career success Ritchie had, and Ritchie had succeeded in almost every position from striker to defender. Jones's peak was being ordinary.

Hope you and Cookie are right on all counts. I'm predicting seventh place. If Wrexham don't win it this time, they may as well close the town. Even FIFA/EUFA's helping them. Just what the division needed more ability for Wrexham to use their advantage in the Hollywood transfer market.

To be fair, Dev, I don`t think FIFA or UEFA are `helping` Wrexham. I may be wrong, but as I understand it they`re just allowing them to operate on the same footing as every other team in the National League.

Surely there has to be some penalty for being Welsh and taking long throw-ins that land in Bangor?

They can already buy whoever they want, now they can buy them whenever they want to. You don't have affiliate to the Welsh FA just because you are in Wales. Derbyshire clubs are in the Sheffield and Hallamshire ........

I'm just wondering how they'll manage not to win it this time.

If you intervene when it's none of your business that looks a bit like helping to me. Surely international ruling bodies have more to worry about than non-league football in England and Wales? Like sorting out their own corruption, he said mischievously.

Oh by the way congratulations SGB on making the move to Buxton. I've looked at houses online in Buxton and liked the place still, hankered after Matlock really , but on my own moving seems such a monster undertaking. Hope you are happy and that it's warmer than it was when I played in goal around there.
