Miller runs like one of the Woodentops and defends like Madame Cholay. He has gone into my worst-ever Chesterfield XI.

Kellerman really can't play where Cookie played him. A working man's midfielder, not good enough to get as angry as he does.

Denton is a liability, we've no idea how to use him That isn't his fault. He does what he does. We play at him with 10 others.

Weston is anonymous most of the time. Works, but nary a creative thought.

Mandeville's there. He lacks strength, gets thinner by the day and may be slowly disappearing. Skill, touch, then where's he gone?

Asante needs a complete summer of pre-season training to get back to fitness, he's lost his speed and his touch has deserted him at the moment.

McCourt is an insult to shorts. You don't need to get changed to hit two long-range crackers per season.

Loach is absolutely the kind of keeper a defence doesn't want behind it, has the skills but you're never sure he's brought them.

Minter, if you are permanently reserve to a bloke who is no good that has to say something.

Maguire, the best passer in our defence, needs to score more and defend more.

Gunning, ugly old bruiser, gets injured answering his mobile.

Grimes, wild man centre back, if we didn't have him we'd have to buy a clone anyway.

Whittle, never brilliant, rarely poor, that's a blessing and we really missed him Saturday.

Carline has been a big loss since his injury.

King, blimey someone who can actually play if his brain kicks in and allows him to stay on the field.

Rowe, needs to lose a bit of weight, get properly fit, but we haven't got many better than him.

Kerr, people don't seem to rate him, when I've seen him he wouldn't be the first on the list for the bullet by any means.

Quigley, can play a bit, but you need to have some flair for goals or assists at centre forward, and his is in a box buried deep somewhere.

Rowley, can play much better than most of our midfield and is more creative, but he just doesn't anymore.

Payne, by name, nature and performance, one of our worst-ever signings.

Croll, thought he was good but his career is a history of injuries.

Williams, well he isn't bad, a cog in a wheel but not much to get excited about.

Oyeleke, looked half-fit to me on Saturday, he is a good player but he is another with fitness issues.

Tshimanga, Mullin has finally overtaken his goals, that says it all, if he comes back as good then we'll have trouble keeping him.

Khan, strong, dangerous runs forward, got a goal in him, needs to engage brain when passing, but would be in my League XI.

Hollis, just when he was changing my opinion on him, he got injured forever it seems.

Clarke, our Jack Grealish, sadly most of his appearances are in Casualty.

Can't think who I missed, but in general our players needed the input of a James Rowe to make them one of the top teams at this level. Once he'd gone so had everything that made them special. The tarnish was evident everywhere. I think Cookie may be losing his mojo, he looked as though lava was going to start flowing on Saturday. If I was Kellerman I'd be self-isolating with pretend-Covid now after what he said when being subbed. The play-offs are an irrelevance, because even if we get there we have no plan on how to play through midfield and create a goal scoring opportunity and then we haven't got a fully-fit goal scorer to get on the end of it in any case. Whether Cookie can still create that magic is very much open to question. He didn't manage it at Ipswich, but then nor has his successor.

Kellerman shouldn't be in any team after today. Maguire would have been a better sub, he's played midfield many times and is not stupid. Why the hell Kahn wasn't on at half time is beyond me.
We should have stuck with Webb till the end of the season. Nothing against Cook but he was the wrong man at the wrong time. Roberts has brought nothing to the table other than car share with Cookie.
At least the beer here is strong. It needs to be after that shitshow today.

I was amazed Cookie had Kellerman in his squad.

Khan would start every week for me. I just don't understand it.

Quigley couldn't control a puppy with a Barbara Woodhouse choke chain. I suspect James Rowe bought him because he knew something bad was going down for him and it was revenge.

I'd rather have Maguire at the back, though he could play midfield, simply because he passes the ball out from the back rather than booting it.

Our only threat appears to be King going forward.

Our one positive was Danny Rowe's free kick. Torquay's keeper looked absolutely shocked. I don't think I have ever seen anyone hit a football more cleanly. Forget Roberto Carlos or anybody else. If we make the play offs, due to everyone else losing, we need to play for free kicks inside the opposition half and let Danny Rowe loose.

When Cookie first came to us, everyone said that when he'd had the chance to recruit his own team we'd win the league and so we did. He clearly needs a different set of players. My worry is that that won't be my kind of cheap recruits from our division and lower down the pyramid, he'll be getting EFL players. That's fine if they really want to play at this level, but when they come down expecting an easy pay day for easy football, they are a disaster waiting to happen.

Interesting approach by County at Wrexham implementing defensive strategies employed by Man U at Brighton
Why should a man go to work, if he has the health and strength to stay in bed?

Wasn't Stockport's approach strange in that one? For 30 minutes they were pulling a very nervous Wrexham apart and finding ways to avoid scoring. They conceded and began immediately being outclassed. Hippolyte ceased being able to take dead balls and took some of the weirdest failed long throws ever.

If Wrexham still finish second and they get beat in the play-offs, which I think is well-possible, they are going to be more pissed-off than even Hollywood can contemplate.
