A real scarcity of correct scores this week, just a total of 3 with 6 players drawing a blank. The gamball wasonce again tough, just 2 people gaining points from it though it was a rare good week for bonuses - in fact the best week of the season - with just one player losing out.
Snooty hits the top of the table with his best score of the season so far. 2 correct scores, including one on the gamball, gives him a big lead and will certainly help in his battle to avoid the drop. Silver is clinging on to his hopes of catching Derby for the title and this week won't have done him any harm, gaining 8 points on his rival and holding 2nd spot in the week's table. He scored on a week's high of 6 games, including his gamball, but failed to turn any of them into maximums. After 2 weeks of playinghis gamball - and losing points - Minizin reverted to type and chose not to play it, wisely as he again got it wrong. He turned in a respectable 12 point score to take 3rd, just ahead of SCO and BBB who both got 10 points from very different routes. Just an aside, why do Americans insist on pronouncing route as rout, except when they're singing along to Chuck Berry? And don't get me started on their insistence on driving on the pavement!
Er....back to the prediction league. BaggieOne just failed to make double figures while Derby had what for him was a distinctly average week and just for a change missed out on the gamball. Sanjay was the only other player to get a correct score but he was also the only player to lose points from his bonus and so his run of double figure scores came to a grinding halt.
No submission from AAA again - I think I can safely place the dreaded 'R' against his name now.
Derby 241
Silver 212
SCO 203
BBB 197
Sanjay 189
Minizin 181
Snooty 169
BaggieOne 153
AAA 79 R - probably
No positional changes this week though Snooty is edging ever closer to safety and 1s now just 12 points away from Minizin. Derby's lead at the top has reduced but still looks pretty healthy.
