FA Cup round 3 and it was nice to see some shocks. Wins for Kidderminster, Hartlepool and Forest, a goal for Albion (the original one). In the prediction league, it all seemed a bit more....predictable. The gamball proved to be a killer. Only 1 player got the result right and guess what....yes, he chose not to play it. Every one who did lost points. The number of correct scores/results was alos very consistent - everyone got 4 or 5 results right and nobody got more than 1 correct score so it was the bonus balls that really made the differnce this week.

BaggieOne seems to have improved his performance over recent weeks and this continued as he sits on top of the table. He was helped by the astute use of his extra bonus ball getting 1 correct score and 1 correct result on the two he had to play. It could have been so much better though as he was the only player to predict a gamball win for Wigan without, of course, playing that ball. Sanjay takes second and was another to benfit from the extra balls, in his case 2 correct bonus results and 2 score ball points. Derby comes in 3rd, the same number of scores/results as the top 2 but losing points on his gamball and not having extra balls to play with.

AAA bucked the trend - only getting 4 correct results and not getting any scores right. Hiowever his decision not to gamble got him to 4th place just reaching double figures thanks to a correct bonus. Behind him 3 players on 7 points all with identical records with SCO a point further back thanks to his failure on the scoreball.

Snooty's at the foot of the table, no correct scores 4 correct results and losses on both the gamball and bonus.

Derby 202
BBB 168
Silver 168
SCO 164
Minizin 142
Sanjay 133
BaggieOne 126
Snooty 118
AAA 81

Derby breaks the 200 barrier to sit comfortably at the top. Just the one positional change this week witjh BaggieOne climbing ahead of Snooty in the desperate battle to avoid the drop. Apart from that, not much to be said.

Stairs          18pts 1CS 5CR NPGB 5BB 2SB
Twerton      13pts 2CS 3CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Blue Baggie 11pts 0CS 6CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Themaclad  11pts 0CS 6CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Zinman        7pts 1CS 4CR -3GB -3BB 1SB
Dingle          7pts 0CS 4CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Lady Jane    4pts 1CS 2CR -3GB -3BB 1SB
Salop          4pts 1CS 2CR -3GB -3BB 1SB
Amelia          1pts 0CS 3CR -3GB -3BB 1SB

This week we saw a complete whitewash on the Gamball, everyone got it wrong and aside from Stairs it cost everyone 3 points!!  Maybe Zin will choose an easier game for all of us on this weeks Gamball ................or maybe he won't!!!  %#*&%!!!!! Angry  Interestingly though everyone scored a point on the Scoreball, seems to be the easiest ball to score with!!

That "extra" 3 points helped Stairs top the scores this week with a fine 18 points.  He only got one CS in his 6 scoring games but crucially managed it on the Bonus!!  Twerton came in second with 13 points, he had a week's high 2CSs among his 5 scoring games.  Blue and Themaclad are in joint 3rd place with 11 points gained in identical ways!!

Zinman and Dingle share 5th spot with 7 points, Zin missed on both balls but Dingle failed to score a CS to keep them level.  The bottom three all suffered getting the Gamball and Bonus wrong and that hurt their scores as it always does.  Lady Jane and Salop ended with 4 points and Amelia is bottom with just a single point.

173 - Stairs
172 - Blue Baggie
157 - Lady Jane
148 - Salop
140 - Zinman
137 - Themaclad
134 - Dingle
107 - Amelia
84 - Twerton

Blue has led the table every week so far this season but Stairs has finally caught up to him and has now overtaken him to take top spot!!  The lead is only one point but the mental effect of losing first place will be tested for Blue in the coming weeks!!  LJ maintains her 3rd spot with a bit of a gap to the 4 in the chasing pack.  Amelia is well and truly adrift in second bottom and if Twerton can keep this weeks form he might just be able to catch up to her.

Cheers
