Aye in a criminal fashion.
I don't think anybody who starts life on Heckmondwike market and ends up with a company worth £300m can be labelled unambitious.

My other take on this is that we are not standing still or even going backwards....but are actually going forwards very slowly.
The reason I say this is because FFP will kick in slowly but surely for all the other clubs flouting it just now.
We know Forest, L666s and Blackburn have broken the rules, and have had transfer embargos in place for January....they can't sign anyone!! So if we can strengthen in Jan, we will already be moving forward of those three.
Anyone else wants to try breaking the rules, the same thing will happen to them.

I really fear for L666s this season....well not so much fear, more like unadulterated joy. They are in a precarious position in the league, and if /when injuries/suspensions happen in the next few weeks, they can't sign anyone to help get them out of the mess. Shame.

Town aren't penny pinching, they are playing within the rules. And they are doing it with a chairman who is realistic and looking at the big picture.

The FFP isn't worth the paper it's written on, the 3 clubs can still sign up free transfers and loan signings and pay them a wage of up to £600k despite the transfer "embargo"...that's £11,538.47 per week

Thats where you are wrong, they can still make loan sigings and free transfers, so whats the point of a trasnfer embargo?

Taken from the Guardian:-
"Under the transfer embargoes, the three clubs will be prohibited from signing any new players - either on a permanent or loan deal - unless they have 24 or fewer “established players’’, which is described as 24 players aged 21 or over that have made at least five starts for the club"

And yes Wakey, even if they could sign loanees or frees, they can pay them up to 600K....however that means they run the risk again of failing FFP for next year....meaning more embargoes.

This isn't going away and clubs that keep flouting it will get hammered eventually. Their only get out clause is if they get promoted to the Prem. And even then they had better hope they never get relegated back to the Football League.

The trouble is it is going away, after next season the rules change so instead of losing £8million(last Season) and £5million(this season) the clubs will be able to lose up to £39million over 3 seasons, effectively bring the vast majority of clubs back into fair play

And if proof was needed about FFP being a waste of time then this confirms it.

Forest have signed Chelsea right back Todd Kane on loan until the end of the season

Yes but he's a replacement for Jack Hunt who they have just sent back. They can only bring in to replace. One in, one out.

That's right Snoots.
And just look where Dirty L666s are.....1 point off relegation and they can't strengthen in this window.
Oh joy.
