I don't agree with this whatsoever. Surely there are more important people who need the vaccine first?

Daily Mirror are the only one's reporting it, can't find it anywhere else. Also they were the one's which reported about the furlough thing as well before others picked it up. Have they got it in for the club or someone with an axe to grind?

If its in one of the papers its doubtful its true. Am sure if it was there would be a big outcry.

It's in the Mail today, and there are quotes from the club, so it appears to be true.

Being a community club surely your behaviour is meant to reflect on that community? We scammed furlough first and now we've accidentally scammed our way into getting vaccinated. What next, set up our own drug-dealing County Lines network?

Surely we should have had enough sense to realise how bad this would look, even if we didn't initiate it?

I thought a new era had dawned. I thought I could be proud to be a Spireite. That we were a club run by good people with decent motives. Turns out we're still just another set of cheats who want to win at all costs.
The club could have said we'll get on the phone to some of our older season ticket holders who are more in need of the jab than our players. The club could have looked good and socially conscious. Instead it has allowed those with axes to grind, like Mr Carson and an apparently departed physio', to throw shit at it from a moral high ground they've never attained before.

The club is either totally lacking in social conscience, or terminally stupid. And I'm not sure which is worst.

Wouldn't you think a definitive, totally honest statement on the club's website would have been the answer ........ hiding nothing ....... apologising if that were necessary .......... explaining if the explanations are good and true? If you want to tell the truth it shouldn't take long to say it, or publicise it. Lies and prevarication take time.

And now at 4.15 I note a whole day has passed and nothing. That certainly qualifies for terminally stupid, if not don't give a shit!

Apparently they had to get there within 15 minutes otherwise they would have gone down the drain. The Pfizer one has to be used up once it's been thawed.

I've no objection to our three officials getting the jab, because we can't be accused of gaining from that. But three players? As the man from Gocompare says, "Come on!" If it were a plot by Mansfield we couldn't have been done up more like a kipper.

We are supposedly "Professional". We need to act it instead of our shoe size.

If the vaccinators phoned me and asked could I find six people to turn up for vaccination in 15 minutes, we'd be on our way from this road in 5 minutes at the outside.

And of course the other thing is they'll need a second dose in 3-12 weeks. It is highly unlikely the players would be scheduled again at their age within the time, so they will have to end up queue-jumping again. Mind you it might increase their value in the transfer market.

Game got called off at Aldershot because a player was showing covid symptoms. Sounds like only a handful of players got the vaccine and not the whole squad.

Apparently it was only three players and three staff.

If the Covid test in Aldershot is confirmed positive by the follow-up PCR test we have to forfeit the FA Trophy and rearrange our next three league games. That should enable Adil to settle into the squad before we play again!

Now can you believe that a professional club in this age of instant communication could not find three people other than players to receive the jab at the drop of a hat? As it was taking place in Dronfield transport must have been available. Even I haven't words to describe how stupid we are. And if it was a fan who suggested contacting Chesterfield FC then next time you want to drop somebody in the shit, try your enemies not your friends. Please.

We've pulled out of the FA Trophy. Aldershot get a bye to the quarter-finals where they will play Hereford.
