Hibs v Dundee United, Sat 19 December, KO 3.00pm

Yup.

That game should have been in the bag, Doidge being particularly wasteful this afternoon coupled with some poor game management. We've seen it happen so many times.

This was seriously embarrassing TBH!!!!Thumb down A huge domination of this match v a team that was clearly inferior to Hibs and deserved zilch from the game!!! 5-0 or 6-0 wouldn't have flattered Hibs but again we have the usual offenders who don't deliver in front of the opposing team's goal to seal a well-deserved win!!! Thumb down Then to lose a late "steal" of a goal in the last 90 secs really was a "slap in the face" to all observing/listening Hibs fans. IMO JR's substitution of Newell for Gogic was a failure mainly because Hibs never "saw out" this match effectively to fully deserve the 3 pts - an absolute disgrace!! Ohhhh to have a true, prolific pen box striker to clinically finish off lots n lots of great scoring opps!!!!! That is one of the main differences, player wise, between Rangers being so far ahead at the top of the Scot Prem and why Hibs are not closer to that position. I also wish Boyle's decision-making in attack had a bit more guile attached to it!!! He had a good game because of his pacy threat to their defence but it is so frustrating to watch his final pass, shot or decision letting the side down!!

Too true 0762.

Bringing Gogic on was to add some "steel" to the midfield. Unfortunately a player to use the ball to see the game out was needed. Gogic came on, played a superb ball for Boyle ( who as you said was quick but lacking the final ball much of the time) but then got himself booked and gave the ball away too much whilst we were trying to see the game out.

Even with their keeper playing a blinder ( except for our goal) we should have won the game with ease........but that's Hibs. Unfortunately for Doidge, he didn't have one of their players to put the ball in the net for him . Doh Big Grin

I forgot to also mention Hibs should've had a pk awarded in the 2nd half when Doidgy was clearly "pulled back" by the last DU defender (Connolly?) - he took the shot but any advantage rule on this kinda incident is irrelevant!! He was interfered with preceding his shot on goal and therefore it is a pk, another ref decision that Hibs lose out on although it should never have been significant anyway when one considers how wasteful Hibs forwards have been today.
