Well this is one tough league fixture for Hibs to take on at this stage of the season and an unwelcome one while positioned at the second bottom of the Scot Premiership. Celtic are "on fire" at the mo with a multi-talented, muti million pound quality team compared with any other footie clubs in Scotland who think they could consistently aspire to this level.
I'm just curious to see how Hecky starts this match and with what Hibs line up? Will it be another "backs to the wall" plan because we don't have the players to "hurt" Celtic!!? We shall see in due course.

They are better than us in every position, and they will likely be fresher too.
All we can do is get stuck in and hope that we get a bit of luck.

It surely will be a backs-to-the-wall approach, the real danger being that we will invite Celtic to attack us at will for at least 75 minutes.

Having played a lotta footie in my time (over 600 matches) and coached and acquired some coaching badges for fun, I find this upcoming match to be intriguing from a tactical pt of view. I think we all agree this is gonna be a very difficult match for Hibs and I'm assuming that we are also losing Ryan Porteous to a red card suspension? There will be a fatal consequence if my assumption re Porteous is correct!! A "backs to the wall" approach does appear to be the only plan to accept and try to deploy and I base that view on all Hibs matches played so far and the glaring stats attached to the unimpressive results - strikers almost non-existent and "leaking" too many goals!! So we must flood the midfield with "battling" players, fight for the midfield area and protect our defensive line as best we can. I'd also deploy a couple of Hibs players to "man mark" certain Celtic mid players - under orders that they are almost "skin-touching" these players! I know for a fact that marked players hate being targeted in this way because I have been asked to do exactly this kinda job in years gone by and done it well with some of the "mouthing and whining" from "targets" just confirming how good a job I've done on them lol!! I doubt Heckingbottom will do this but one can only hope. We wanna suppress their free-flowing footie and try to "kill" the game - "go Italian", no choice!!

Well like midweek, I will definitely take that ! Great effort shown from the team after a hard cup game and even hecky showed a bit of passion on the touchline. But in all honesty we never looked like scoring and our goal was lucky to say the least.
Clancy had an absolute shocker - ntcham should have been red carded and he booked anything that moved 2nd half. The free kick for their goal looked soft but they passed through us way too easily. On the other hand he also denied Celtic at least one solid penalty claim but it's fair to say they weren't at their best the day.
We are still way too negative for my liking but as points go it doesn't come too much better.

Maybe we were lucky today but the way things have been going for us lately I"ll take everything that's going.
In past seasons we have had bad results having a negative effect on the team which has lasted for 10 or 12 games so hopefully a good result can set us off for a good run.
