Mbenza is quicker than diakhaby and the better player. Diakhaby could be a threat with his pace and turning at the defenders, he just seemed to switch off and lack interest, often caught a split second too late reacting to the second ball

I can see why the ref didn't give the penalty. As Kongolo makes his tackle, Sterling knocks the ball sideways, so from the ref's angle it probably looked like Terence had got a touch on it. But he didn't.
So we finally get a bit of luck.....in a game we've no chance of winning anyway.
