First: When are we going to see something done about shirt-pulling? It is one of the factors ruining the game. There was a TV programme on recently called Porky Bleeders (or something like that) where the thugs had razors sown into their caps.
Why don't we allow players to do the same with their shirts and and it would soon stop all this pulling; maybe Gillette could sponsor them? Secondly: What's happening this season generally? It's just been predictable and boring so far. Even a scoreline of 8-0 only raised a yawn. I think we run the risk of being exposed to too much football and that's why supporters are seen regularly leaving stadiums when their teams go a few goals down. What we want from The Albion most of all is exciting attacking entertaining football and stuff caution.

I actually applauded the ref last night who penalised Shawcross for wrestling at a corner, but even the commentator said something like "I don't believe it", and the home crowd booed the decision. Fair play to the ref for giving a bleeding obvious penalty - and it's the only way to stop the grappling - but he spoilt it all by giving a very soft penalty to Stoke minutes later as if to "even it up".

I'd make linesmen responsible at corners by watching from behind the dead ball line and giving a penalty (or freekick to the defence) every time. And some of the wrestling would get you a red card if it was carried out on the halfway line.

At the end of the day it is against the rules, so either enforce it or change the rules. Great to see a ref with some b@ll@cks, just a shame that the pundits are more interested in talking about the one he got wrong.

Taking the game to the Burnleys of the PL is what I want.

Danny Mills on Five Live said it was a ridiculous decision, adding that refs would be giving seven-eight penalties every game. Well, quite! Mills needs to learn the rules of the game. Use of hands or arms is a direct free kick, and a direct free kick in the box is a penalty.
