Happy Sir Gary is back as part of the club, not sure what he will bring now ....... but he started our modern era, love it when all our hero's of times gone by are connected with the club, Brendan Batson, my all time hero bomber, superbob, big Dave, big Ron, the list goes on but I fear all the good of the past easily comes unravelled when players or managers return and things go down the pan.

For saving us and promoting us he will always be a legend ......... hopefully not tainted by this return.

4Eva, like you I look back with great pleasure on that brilliant promotion season, I don't think anything in the last twenty years can match it. As I've said before, a huge reason for that success was Gary Megson and I don't know any Albion fan who does not acknowledge that. Like you, however, I don't have positive memories of returning heroes- Jonny Giles and Ron Atkinson have unsuccessful second spells and Brian Robson's return, having been a phenomenal player but turned out to be a wretched manager. I just think we've moved on, or should have; I suppose I just see in Pulis and Megson two guys who are stuck in a philosophy of football that is dated. However, I would be absolutely delighted to be proved wrong and I'll happily come on this board and say so
