....is it me?
It's Wenger who has given the club 20 or so consecutive seasons in the top 4 with Champions League football attached. It's Wenger who has won them the FA Cup 7 times and the league 3 times. He's done this by paying relatively small dosh (compared to the other Big 6), and, to cap it all, has coached his teams to play fantastic football - IMHO in spells, they've played the best football I've ever seen.

So now, because of the fact that they'm HAVEN'T got a top 4 place, he's a failure. A victim of his own success for sure ......but what makes the Arsenal twats think they've a God given right to this? It's WENGER who's achieved this for you, you ungrateful idiots. Grow up and give him your support rather than moan about this season of abject failure!

No ambitious club in their right mind would keep Wenger in charge, he's proven incompetent. 20 points behind the leaders, and this is with the facilities, stadium, funds and backing that most clubs only dream of.

Not a single title challenge in over a decade and one serious crack at the Champions League in 21 years. This is all about kroenke's dividend IMO.

To play devil's advocate, it's all relative though, isn't it? I mean, if (say) Hartlepool fans saw the way we've carried on about Pulis at times, and particularly the moaning that we finished 10th instead of 8th in the Premier League, I'm pretty sure they'd give us both barrels for how spoilt we are, and how hard life must be for us watching top-flight football year in, year out. Even if you were to patiently explain that our win record for the last three months is desperately poor no matter which division you're playing in, I expect we'd get the world's smallest violin from them at best.

Same goes for Arsenal. It's a simple fact that they're one of the richest clubs in the world, and yet they don't punch anywhere near the weight they should. Yeah, we'd love to have their "problems", but then plenty of clubs would love to have ours in turn.

(Whether or not this is actually Wenger's fault I don't know, but I suspect that the sudden sense of urgency on the subject has more than a little to do with Spurs finally overtaking the Gooners this season.)

Totally agree, Drewks.
The bloke has guided the Club through the hard times when they were still Top 2 or 3 despite spending £390m on the new Stadium to 2006. (Their fickle fans - Piers Morgan included - thought he was a god for this.)

Net spend since 2006-07:

Arsenal: £109.2m
Chelsea: £343m
Liverpool: £235.5m
Man Utd: £445.2m
Man City: £826m

Wenger could have had a strop every year for the past 10 years, but he's a clever businessman, as well as being a top Football Club Manager, and he saw the need for prudent spending, which his Directors have insisted on.
So they go a few years without winning the Prem and their plastic fans want something/sombody/anybody to blame.
I like Arsenal (though I didn't before Wenger), but I'd love them to replace him with anyone (like ManU and Ferguson), and watch them slide....just to hear who their "fans" blame then.

They'd blame Stan Kroenke.
