Not to mention spending over £500 million on players. Unfortunately he should never have become Manchester United manager and United were too quick to get rid of Moyes. Signing Mourinho is like out the frying pan into the fire. He only stays for 2-3 seasons at a club.

2-3 years is now the way with the top clubs, managers like SAF or Wenger who stay for 20 years are a thing of the past. On that basis Mourinho is probably on paper the best manager who is available and for MU they have to take the chance with him while they can. If things don't improve for them then I think Man City will have a chance to really overtake them.

I think he'll be like Cloughie at Leeds. He just won't fit in at Old Trafford.
