Am I Missing Something?

The Birmingham Mail and the Express & Star are reporting that Pullis wants to keep Rickie Lambert for another season. As far as I am concerned, as good as he may have been in the past, he is a waste of a squad place and an expensive one at that. Whatfootballersearn.com put his total salary to date at £4,073,997 or £40,000 per week. On top of that the the £3million transfer fee plus what ever signing bonus.

So just the figures we know £7,073,997 and what have we had in return one goal (and was that not a penalty) and just five league starts.

So unless this summer, the FA change the rules to be something more like American Football, where you can bring on a player just to take penalty kicks and then they go off again I am afraid its a NO from me Rickie.

Lambert surely would be a waste of a squad number and a blocker to bringing in a young and promising talent

Ricky Lambert................just a waste of space not to mention money.

Cannot for the life of me even begin to guess why we signed him. He was already starting to show his lack of mobility when still with Liverpool which, considering it's supposed to be the Club he supported as a boy, you would have thought that he would have made more effort to get fit and keep his place in their team.

Keep McAuley, Olsson, and Lambert and get rid of Morrison,McManaman,Sessegnon, and Berahino,
with decisions like that people honestly believe Pulis will make us more attacking next season?

Keep your hair on - it's paper trash talk.

We have a summer of this to go and so hitting boiling point before the lads have even packed their holiday suitcases is the way to serious illness Cool

Hell's teeth Rainbow....... for one horrible moment I thought you were stating something factual!

Although nothing would surprise me where TP is concerned I don't need potential nasty shocks like that.

Nurse.......please bring my medication Doh

Lambert has another year on his contract and so has a value albeit rather low. If TP starts saying he's a waste of space etc his value will fall further.

Best way to get a few quid for him is to suggest that with another summer of fitness work Lambert will be back to his Premier best and will be a real asset to the club, that might tease out a cheeky bid for him.

It's called putting lipstick on a pig.
