You can imagine the headlines !

"Pulis last seen at Heathrow Airport doing a runner"
"Believed to be living in Bolivia herding goats"
"Spotted lodging in Sepp Blatters spare room"
"JP checking the petty cash"

Laugh

Seriously, not sure how the Premier League could enforce him paying Palace back any bonus they made to him. Surely only a civil court could do that. Not even sure they could ban him from football management as that would infringe his Human Right to work in his profession.

Nah, the best way is for JP to post him his P45.  Laugh

Correct TheBaggieMan,
The winning Party will have to register the decision with the Civil Courts ( High Court in this case) before any enforcement can take place.
I'm sure TP can afford to pay it back Whistle

Unless there was a clause in TP's contract with Palace saying he had to remain with the club for X period of time after getting his £2 million bonus, I don't see how repayment of it is enforceable. Clearly, he had earned it by saving Palace from relegation, job done. I don't understand the other £1 million either. I'm sure he's taking legal advice and will appeal, as Beefy says.
EDIT
From the Express and Star
Palace claimed the bonuses were dependent on the manager staying until the first competitive game of the following season - against Arsenal on August 16 - but he left two days earlier ‘by mutual consent’.

Pedantic though it is I understood there was a condition on the payment - being in place at the start of the new season. He was not. Because he walked out on them in dispute over transfer kitty.

Not there no pay. His own fault. Should have waited 5-10 days.

I would have thought his only "legal" defence is to try and muddy the waters over what day the season starts, does it start when the first ball is kicked, or maybe if his defence team could find anything which means it starts a few day earlier, so they could argue it is actually before that first kick. For example how long does a new player have to be registered to play in that first game and could you therefore argue that the season starts then? (a bit weak that example but hopefully you will get what I mean)

It would be a really flimsy argument, but I do not see any other way around it, if the contract says "start of the season" then that is what it says and he would be liable. The only argument is "when is the start of the season"!

If this is the case
How stupid can somebody be walking out two days before his £2 Million was legally Binding ? Doh

Perhaps he thought thye new season was when they wee recalled for training and not when the league first kick-off started. Either way if his mind is not on the game he'll continue wityh the same team, same style as the previous weeks - let's hope so.
