Just had a phone call from my brother who echoed much of what has been expressed above about future needs but his final words heartened me. "I was very encouraged by what I saw today."  Rome wasn't built in a day. UTT!

We always stop and applaud the lads off the pitch at the end, even after a defeat. It was nice yesterday that so many stayed behind with us. Never seen such appreciation for the performance after a 2-0 loss.  Thumb up

We were excellent for most of the game, the new LB Chilwell was getting forward and taking on defenders at every opportunity, just his final ball let him down and visibly tired near the end. Lolley and Pato scrapped all game too some really good work if only Wells had bagged one of his efforts been more clinical took a better first touch with the one on one - basically if he was more of a Championship striker - what might have been?

You can't knock the effort, a standing ovation at HT summed up the fans mood, Boro fans taking the piss with the 2 shots chant just typical up our day, we of course are open to conceding we all know this. I feel DW has got us playing positively and if Deano can give him the funds to strengthen we can survive. We do have however Decembers fixtures to navigate first and with our mis firing front line if we fail to take points when on paper, some of the fixtures look a wee bit easier than the previous half dozen, we need to be careful not to be left stranded at the foot, before re-inforcements arrive.

Can only rally the support to get to Brum next week if possible, points are possible, a vocal support there will help no end and we need to gain some momentum quick.

Ref did didn't give us a thing all day. Booked our players for fun, didn't even blow half the time when Boro players committed similar offenses. The lino's ended up doing his job for him. I think they soon realised he was being an arsehole.

Sums it up well. They were crap and won 2-0. No excuse for missing out on promotion this time then.

Right now we are rock bottom of the form league. The good news is Brum are not much better and they have another crap run of form at home in full swing. Play like we did Saturday and find the onion bag a few times and it should get us rocking back up the league.

well I was impressed by what I saw. To have something like 75% possession against a top team like Boro shows we are heading in the right direction, we just need to sort a striker out now
