Len Cantello Testimonial 1979
#1
The BBC are making a documentary about the Len Cantello testimonial in 1979 and are looking for people who were at the game.  For those who do not remember the game it was between a team of all black players against a team of all white players something unthinkable today.

The following link contains an interesting interview with one of the programme makers.

Is this another media attempt to slurr our great club ...... or just an interesting news story.

Given that the club themselves are involved - and Adrian Chiles as well, last I heard - I doubt there's any attempt at smearing Albion. Just an interesting bit of social history which is worth looking at. Unfortunately I can't help, but will look forward to the final documentary.

Good to hear, Albion were right at the front when it came to equality and integration of minority groups, would be nice for all the clubs hard work to be shown on the national stage again. Maybe show are trip to China, I believe we were the first club there too ..... please correct me if I am wrong. We support a great club with great ground breaking traditions.
