Barnet have signed midfielder Nnamdi Ofoborh after his exit from Swindon Town.

The 25-year-old made 37 appearances for the Robins in League Two last season.

Ofoborh came through the Bournemouth academy and made three appearances for the Cherries. He also had a loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers before joining Swindon in March 2024.

The Bees, who were promoted from the National League last season, have not disclosed the length of his contract.

""I do whatever job needs to be done – if it's defensive, or trying to get into the box – whatever works for the team I'm willing to do it," Ofoborh told the club website, external.

Barnet boss Dean Brennan added: "[He's got a] good game understanding and a good schooling, [he's] that defensive player we've been looking for a couple of seasons now."

Barnet have signed former Millwall goalkeeper Joe Wright on a free transfer.

Wright, 24, joins the League Two side after leaving Eastbourne Borough, who he helped finish third in the National League South and reach the play-off semi-finals last season.

He came through Millwall's academy and had loan spells at the likes of non-league duo Cray Wanderers and Bath City.

He also spent time on loan at League Two Salford City before joining Irish club Galway United in January 2024 and then Eastbourne last summer.

Wright told the club website, external: "My key strength is shot-stopping and I like to be quite demanding – my communication is normally quite good when playing."

Wright is the second goalkeeper Barnet have signed during this window following the arrival of Owen Evans from Cheltenham Town.

Barnet manager Dean Brennan said: "Joe completes our goalkeeping department. He gained vital experience at Eastbourne last season and did really well.

"He has impressed us in pre-season and deserves his opportunity in the EFL with us."

The length of Wright's contract is undisclosed.

The club have now made 13 signings in total ahead of their first season back in the Football League since the 2017-18 season.

They won promotion to League Two after winning the National League title last season.

Barnet begin their League Two campaign against Fleetwood Town on Saturday after hosting Newport County in the Carabao Cup preliminary round tonight (Tuesday 19:30 BST).

Barnet have signed goalkeeper Cieran Slicker on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town.

The 22-year-old won his first senior Scotland cap, against Iceland, this year.

Slicker has played three times for the Tractor Boys in cup competitions since joining the club from Manchester City in 2023.

Barnet manager Dean Brennan was critical of goalkeeper Owen Evans on Saturday after it was his mistake that gifted Fleetwood Town the lead in a 2-0 defeat in the opening League Two match of the season.

"I believe that he'll [Slicker] upgrade that department and that's how we raise the bar and keep pushing each other and how we upgrade our team," Brennan said.

"I feel Slicks will definitely do that. We just want him to come in and do what he's good at."

The Bees travel to Bromley for a London derby in their next League Two match on Saturday.
