The Tetley was a contemporary art gallery in Leeds, England, located in the art deco headquarters of the former Tetley's Brewery. The gallery was opened on Friday 28 November 2013[1] and closed on 17 December 2023.[2] The charity running it, named Project Space Leeds (from a project which ran from 2006 to 2012) has now rebranded as Yorkshire Contemporary.[3][4]

Leeds United

Leeds United sit at the summit of the Championship with five matches to go, albeit just two points separate the top three.

Daniel Farke’s side have spent the majority of the campaign in and around the automatic promotion spots and will be desperate for a return to the Premier League, following Play-Off heartache last year.

Leeds have been the strongest team in the division on home turf this season, taking 49 points from 20 matches at Elland Road and losing only once in that time.

John Busby, who took charge of the reverse fixture at Deepdale, is the main official on Saturday.

Busby has refereed four North End matches already this season. In total this campaign, he’s shown 83 yellow cards and two reds in 27 matches.

Firstly, Leeds could and should have won by more, missed a stack of chances, but credit to our lads for sticking in their and still being in with a chance of salvaging a ppoint until the last minute.
Always enjoy our games aggainst Leeds always seem to be full on competitie games, this was no exception. Leeds start quickly in every match and this was no different 2-1 after 15 minutes whirlwind start.
Solomon, curled the first one in from the edge of the box, no chance for the Welsh wizard between the sticks, quality goal as was ours, Mads to KKH, if there was fortune about his goal last week, there certainly wasn't this week, cut inside the defender and with his weaker foot blitzs one into the far corner.
Parity didn't last long,initially thought Cornell should have done better, but having seen it back it's a ball into the corridor of uncertainty, possibly Hughes and Meghoma should have done better but Bogle wanted i more bundles home 2-1.
We hung on thereafter, United looked like scoring every time they went forward, not sure how they didn't but we did escape any further goals.
We had a couple of corners both well caught by Darlow, maybe if Meslier had been between the sticks we could have gone into the break 3-2 up.
Nearly scored from our first corner of the second half, planned move, Whiteman's shot goal bound well saved by Darlow, then it was back to the other end Leeds hit the bar(Piroe) somehow managed to contrive to miss from two yards.
Survived that period of pressure, and growing in confidence began to push a little bit further forward, Darlow penalised foor misjudging a catch outside his area.
Whhiteman's free kick deflected wide by the wall.
Tension started to increase with their inability to get clear, however news from Home Park, realeased that with the hapless Blunts losing to Plymouth.
We had one sniff of a chance at the end but KKH cross straight into Darlow's hands.
Somehow don't think we will be here next season.

HECK

Paul Heckingbottom was proud of his side’s effort and bravery in the 2-1 defeat to Leeds United.

The league leaders went in front inside four minutes through Manor Solomon, but North End were soon level as Kaine Kesler-Hayden scored a brilliant goal.

Jayden Bogle put the hosts back ahead in the 13th minute and that proved enough to earn the three points to send Daniel Farke’s side back to the top of the table.

Hecky said: “I'm pleased with the players' effort, bravery to take the ball, and commitment to try and get back in the game. My only disappointment with the game is the two goals.

“We spoke about how fast they play. As a rule this season we’ve defended our box really, really well. We spoke about Solomon coming inside and what he does. It was too good to stop in that goal from Leeds’ point of view. From our point of view I think we should stop it.

“Then we scored a fantastic goal. We get back in the game and then Jayden [Meghoma] gets done on the inside. Jayden Bogle gets inside him and it's a big learning experience for Jayden because as a full-back, as an outside defender, you can't ever get beat inside when you're in a good start position. The goals are disappointing.

“Apart from that, especially in the second half, I enjoyed watching the game second half. They took it to us. We were pushing. They create a few more chances. We had a great one off the set plays, but ultimately, as good as I thought we were in trying to force the game, they created better chances than us and deserved to win.”

While the hosts had presentable opportunities to extend their lead in the second half, North End also came close on a couple of occasions.


The best of them came through captain Ben Whiteman, who tested goalkeeper Karl Darlow on the end of a clever Robbie Brady corner, which was played to the edge of the area.

Asked what Hecky thought his side could do in the second half to get back in the game, Hecky said: “Just got to go for it and be brave and we were. But the more chances you take, the more space you leave. They had one or two moments where they had really good chances where the ball's flashed in behind our back five, back four, back three, whatever we had at the time.

“So it could have been 3-1 at any point but likewise if Ben's effort goes in from that well-worked set play it's 2-2 and they're having to come at us and we may be the team playing on the counter.

“It would have been an edgy thing for the Leeds fans and from our point of view I'm proud of how we tried to pass the ball and force the issue and we just weren't good enough to create the quality chances that Leeds did.”

DAN THE MAN

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:

"It feels pretty good after an exhausting week with three difficult games. It was a priceless three points for us.

"It was a really good performance and we could have made life easier by taking a few of our chances, it must have been one of our highest expected goals of the season. We should have scored six or seven.

"If you don't score the third goal and miss this crazy amount of chances then you always need to stay switched on because Preston played with freedom. It was crucial that we returned to our best behaviour against the ball.

"I didn't know the scoreline at Plymouth but you sense the reaction of the supporters. I wanted to make sure that we stayed focused and not thinking about what happened on other pitches.

"I like the balance because we played with fire in the heart but cool in the head."
