Gone Quiet

It seems to be quiet on here. Are we getting nervous?

I think we will be in L2 next season, unless we end up doing a Devon Loch. It's just we are struggling to get over the line. We've had a fantastic season, one which we may never see again in terms of dominating a division.

There isn't anything to say is there? Barnet have got 10 points from their last six games, Bromley only 8. Both have to improve to reach our current total .... and how likely is it we gain no more points in the rest of the season?

We need to be looking at players for next season NOW. Kane Drummond from Macclesfield for a start. And we can't take our central defence into League Two - Grimes is a great guy, but this is his Everest. Palmer is no more than ordinary, that's why Stockport didn't keep him. That leaves Ty who WE don't seem to rate do we?

In midfield Oldaker will struggle to step up, so we need a signing there, and is Quigley happy to have another season as second choice CF?

And for Chrissakes can we have a goalie of our own? I like Ryan Boot and think he would have blown out Dorking's first two goals. Tyrer went down with artificialitis working out or not the bounce of the first, and for the second he went down with retro rockets slowly misfiring. A good goalie behind able centre backs is the mainspring of any team. They give the rest of the team licence to go for goals.

When we beat Oxford City surely you are going to agree this season is over?

I'd like us to sign Freckleton, then I watch Sheffield Utd play and wonder how I can consider signing somebody who can't get close to a game in that clueless defence?

Win at Oldham on Saturday and Barnet draw or lose to Woking then we will be promoted and Champions.
