Are we still allowed to sign a striker on a Bosman if needed,now that the window is closed.With the Cole transfer cocked up and B Ideye not firing etc and of course TP likes a big CF Will he now decide to go along with Anichibe as the CF.

Outside of the transfer windows, any club may still sign players on an emergency basis (such as if they had no goalkeepers available) with the permission of their competition's governing body, ie the Premier League.

Players who are out of contract and do not have a club, can be signed outside of the transfer window if they are unattached free agents when the window closes.

To be honest, Samaras wasn't given a start and I think he's a better player than Cole anyway. So if
everyone is fit, we should be fine. Can always use Craig Dawson up top if we're going route one.

Would've made sense to keep Samaras until another deal was done, like all the other clubs do. But
