Hands up who likes ladies/women's football better than the men's?
I CERTAINLY DO!
I can't stand top level men's football any more - inflated salaries, egos and petulance; passing back, nil adventure.
Women, to my mind, play the game how it USED to be - little/no diving/cheating, taking a chance for that searching pass, even taking on an opponent instead of just out manoeuvring them.....
.... very much less girlie behaviour generally!

Professional MALE coaches and Player's - take note!!

I've said it before, drewks, it's the purer form of the game. Like Ian Wright has said, he cried more on the pitch than the women do, when some folk tried to throw the emotional stereotype at them. Come on, Lionesses, show the men how it's done!  Whistle

I have watched hardly any of the games so far, but thats not through choice, its just a product of them being on in the middle of the night here in the US!! The couple I have watched I have enjoyed. I can't say I like it more though, the quality is ok and the games can be exciting but I am just not emotionally attached to it like I am the mens game.

Totally agree, drewks. I love watching the lassie's play football. Like you say, the diving and cheating is a massive problem in the men's game and the pundits don't help matters by saying things like, he felt contact and so he's entitled to go down.

Rubbish!

I can't watch the Premier League. It's boring. But I can't get enough of this Women's World Cup. The smaller nations are getting much closer to the more traditional ones already with teams like Morocco and Jamaica doing well. And Haiti, they gave the Lionesses a real scare. Not to mention Nigeria. Blush

Talking of that match. What about Chloe Kelly's penalty? She did not 'alf crack that one, did she not? Apparently, it was a harder shot than any man was recorded kicking in last season's Prima Donna League.  Smile

The Spanish stopped England playing.
IMHO they did control the game and looked the better side. We never got going
Nothing wrong with getting to the final and some fantastic results and goals along the way. Well done ladies.
