Bolton Wanderers have signed winger Ibrahim Cissoko on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 club Toulouse.

The League One club also have the option to make the move a permanent one.

Cissoko, 22, spent last season on separate loans in the Championship with Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday.

The Netherlands Under-21 international played a combined 20 games in England, scoring three times - all for Plymouth.

He becomes the 12th new addition to Steven Schumacher's squad this summer.

Cissoko told the club's website, external: "I really wanted to go back to England. I'm glad that everything worked out in the end and I can't wait to start."

Bolton Wanderers defender Szabi Schon has joined Hungarian side ETO Gyor on a season-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old, who has nine caps for Hungary's national team, made 44 appearances in all competitions for the Trotters last season.

Schon returns to his native country, having joined the League One club from Fehervar a year ago.

The left-back is yet to play for Steven Schumacher's side this season.

Bolton Wanderers have signed Middlesbrough's Finland international striker Marcus Forss on a season-long loan plus former Swansea City defender Cyrus Christie on a one-year deal.

Forss, 26, has played 92 times in all competitions for Championship side Boro, scoring 18 goals since joining from Brentford three years ago.

He featured seven times for the Bees in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season.

Forss told Bolton's website:, external "League One is a different kind of league and it's probably more physical, but I've been there and done it and experienced it and now I'm just looking forward to getting back out there."

Republic of Ireland international Christie, 32, left the Swans at the end of last season after a short spell during which he made 12 appearances in all competitions.

His deal with Wanderers has the option of an extra year.

"Being a free agent there's no real rush to get certain things done ," Christie said. "You can wait until the market's finished but Bolton showed the intent."
