Hibernian have signed Ivory Coast striker Franck Dja Djedje on an 18-month contract, subject to international clearance.

The 28-year-old forward, who represented the Ivory Coast at the 2008 Olympics, moves to Easter Road after leaving Dinamo Minsk and has had spells with Paris St Germain, Grenoble, Strasbourg and Nice.

He's come in at a perfect time when we're missing Cummings for the Falkirk match, as well as Malonga for the rest of January at the ACON, as well as El Alagui still not ready to return. He's not the biggest forward, so let's hope he's pacy and prolific in the Championship. I would imagine he and Boyle will start against Falkirk.

Typical BBC!  Doh  - in their article they mention "Before signing, he sought the advice of forward Hibs player Sol Bamba." Presumably they mean former Hibs player.  Big Grin

Thought "JJ" looked quite good when he came on after 70 minutes against Falkirk. Looked a little like Nade but showed a nice turn of pace and some good touches. Should have done better with a header late on but when fully fit hopefully will give a good option up front.

Stubbs now needs to concentrate on improving the defence and getting cover in for when players are unavailable, eg Gray.

Up for The Blue Brazil this week so hoping for 3 points.
